From lighthearted animation to biting political documentaries, I’ve been blessed to work on many amazing projects! Here are some examples of my recent work.

Working with Daniel has been such a positive creative process. He takes the themes of each project and brings them into the music. He takes direction well, making each project a smooth collaboration. This is why I keep coming back to him film after film.
Adam Mariner
Director, Anchor Production
It was a pleasure to collaborate with Daniel because he was involved in every part of the production [ . . . ] He not only listened to my ideas and vision of where things should head, but he offered a plethora of his own ideas that wowed me every step of the way. His talent and work ethic can’t be overstated.
Taylor Garrett
Director, BYU AdLab

Passionate Film Composer

Daniel Davis is a passionate film and video game composer. While he loves to write orchestral music, he also enjoys composing electronica, jazz, folk, and sacred music. Although he routinely utilizes world-class sampled instruments in his recordings, Daniel is a firm believer that there will never be a true replacement for live musicians.

Daniel draws inspiration from his childhood heroes – John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Michael Giacchino, Alan Silvestri, Howard Shore, and Thomas Newman.

"With years of experience under his belt [. . .] he has developed a reputation for being a reliable and hard-working professional who can deliver quality work at a moment's notice."

Latest Albums

These are some of my most recent production music albums, published by my label Magnum Opus Music Library.

Pirates of the High Seas

Epic orchestral film score album loaded to the gills with heroic themes, deadly battles, terrors of the deep, and siren songs. Unmistakably the sound of swashbuckling pirates.

The Road Home

Straight off the airwaves and into your production, these feel-good tunes feature acoustic guitars, drums, and bass - and just a dash of local flavor.

Quickdraw

Warm guitars and classic stories around the campfire.

Tavern Tunes

Authentic folk band playing tunes inspired by travelling French troubadours, festive royal banquets, and dusty Irish pubs.
